What it bonds

Where the manufacturer names a material, we quote them. Where we have assessed it ourselves, we say so and grade it lower. The two are never merged.

MaterialBasisManufacturer wording
Aluminium Our assessment: suitable C The TDS says “metals”, not aluminium. This is an assessed material mapping. Abrade first
EPS (polystyrene foam) Our assessment: suitable C The TDS says “foam polystyrene” rather than EPS. The mapping is therefore an assessment and not presented as manufacturer-listed EPS.
Mild steel Our assessment: suitable C The TDS says “metals”, not mild steel. This is an assessed material mapping. Abrade first

Preparation

Surfaces should be sound, clean and preferably dry; remove loose or weak material and test coatings or difficult plastics.

Limitations

Generic “metals”, “insulation boards” and “foam polystyrene” do not establish an exact alloy, coating or foam grade. Underwater application wording is not a certification for continuous immersion.

Safety

Consult the current TDS/SDS. Avoid skin and eye contact and provide normal workplace ventilation.
