Privacy

This site collects as little as it can get away with, and nothing at all until you say yes to analytics.

Analytics

No analytics script loads until you choose to allow it. If you decline, or ignore the banner, nothing is loaded and nothing is sent. Your choice is stored in your own browser so we do not have to ask again.

What the site records

• Material searches. When you use the selector we record which two materials you chose and which conditions you ticked, so we know what to research next. It is not linked to you.
• Server logs. The hosting provider keeps standard web server logs, which include IP addresses, for security and troubleshooting.

What the site does not do

• No accounts, so there is nothing to sign up for and no password to lose.
• No advertising network and no advertising cookies.
• No selling or sharing of data with anyone.
• No newsletter, because there is nothing to send you.

Affiliate links

Clicking a retailer link takes you to that retailer's own site, which has its own privacy policy and its own cookies. We pass a tracking code that tells them the visit came from here. We do not receive anything about you in return, only whether a purchase happened.

Cookies and local storage

The site stores one value in your browser: your analytics choice. If you allow analytics, the analytics provider may set cookies of its own.
