Permabond Permabond 105 with POP Primer

Low-viscosity cyanoacrylate used with Permabond POP primer for difficult polyolefin and silicone surfaces.

What it bonds

Where the manufacturer names a material, we quote them. Where we have assessed it ourselves, we say so and grade it lower. The two are never merged.

MaterialBasisManufacturer wording
EPDM Listed by the manufacturer A “It is ideal for use on hard-to-bond plastics and rubbers such as natural rubber, EPDM and butyl rubber.”
Natural rubber Listed by the manufacturer A “It is ideal for use on hard-to-bond plastics and rubbers such as natural rubber, EPDM and butyl rubber.”
Silicone rubber Listed by the manufacturer A “Permabond 105 is ideal for most close fitting applications; bond with Permabond cyanoacrylate after the silicone has been primed with Permabond POP”

Preparation

Remove silicone release agents with isopropanol and use only the named POP primer.

Limitations

Close-fitting joints only. POP is not an epoxy primer, and the second substrate in a dissimilar joint must be independently verified.
